USSS Paper Competition 

CALL FOR PAPERS

The department of Sociology and Anthropology is pleased to announce the annual Ben Austin Social Science Symposium (formerly USSS – Undergraduate Social Science Symposium) which is April 17^th, 2025.  

We welcome submission types: panels, individual papers/projects, and posters.  We also will give monetary prizes to the top three papers (undergraduate) and one cash prize the best graduate paper.  To participate in a panel or present a paper, project, or poster, please fill out the form at this link.

To enter the competition and to be considered for a cash award, please also submit complete papers not to exceed 25 pages, double-spaced, using this link to upload your paper no later than April 14^th. Please indicate on your paper whether you are an undergraduate or graduate student.
